The Agora Gallery in New York is hosting a 21-day-long group exhibition of paintings titled 'Love in Multiple Forms' featuring 12 talented artists from around the world. The exhibition was inaugurated on 1st July and the official reception with the artists was held on 7th July.
Gallery Director Sabrina Gilbert, owner of the gallery as well as participating artists and art lovers from different countries gathered together to grace this event.
Art works of the Bangladeshi artist Rezaul Haque are being displayed in the exhibition alongside the artists from Germany, Japan, Taiwan, Azerbaijan, Russia, Canada, and America. A great number of art lovers and visitors have flocked to the gallery since the inauguration. Visitors turn to the works of contemporary artists with great interest.
There has been a lot of discussion surrounding the paintings of Rezaul Haque from the very beginning of the exhibition. His exceptional thoughts and his own diverse works of art have become the center of attraction. Apart from foreigners, the Bangalee community is also gathering there.
Agora Gallery has signed a contract for the representation of 16 paintings by artist Rezaul Haque. Among them, 4 of his works are being displayed in the current exhibition.
In this regard, artist Rezaul Haque Liton said that he has created these paintings by heating the paper in a highly controlled manner following with his own technique. Later he used color in some areas as required. He has been experimenting with this technique for a long period of 29 years. This artist who passed from the the Fine Arts Faculty under the University of Dhaka has been quietly pursuing such exceptional works for a long time.
Established in 1984, Agora Gallery is well-known in the contemporary art scene throughout the globe and has a reputation for playing a crucial role in world of art. The gallery director said that the gallery is working to find talented artists from different parts of the world and introduce their art to the international community. This time the exhibition has been organized with the works of 12 talented artists around the world. Hopefully, the artists will be able to spread their talents worldwide through this exhibition.
Artist Rezaul Haque is also a well-known name among the art lovers in Bangladesh. He has participated in many solo and group exhibitions including National Exhibition of Bangladesh, Asian Biennale. In addition to his own technique utilizing heat convection theory, his works are also created utilizing mediums such as charcoal, acrylic, watercolor, mixed medium, drawing, etc.
The themes of his art works are basically human struggle, inequality in the society, deep perceptions and feelings, rights, dreams, etc. Beyond the borders of the country, the deep aesthetics of his work, the novelty of his techniques and the contemporary issues have aroused great curiosity and interest among art lovers at the international level.
