On 30 June 2022 at about 1910 hrs, a civilian namely Bhadrakanta Barman of Vill-Atila, PS-Tapan, Distt-D/Dinajpur (WB) came to BOP with request to help her daughter namely Pampa Barman (16 Yrs) who was bitten by a snake. She was in an urgent requirement to be helped immediately for medical assistance. The Company Commander and troops of BOP Atila of 164 Battalion Border Security Force, arranged for an Ambulance on emergent basis and the patient was shifted to Govt. Hospital Balurghat.
Under the dynamic leadership of Sh Ajai Singh, Inspector General of North Bengal Frontier the troops of Border Security Force doing such exemplary jobs besides their routine border domination work. The family members of the patient and the villagers heartily appreciated the prompt action of the troops of the Bop Atila. The condition of patent is stable now.
Besides promoting a sense of security among the border population, BSF troops always help the needy border population in time’s of their emergent requirement for evacuation or treatment purpose. “Sentinels of borders” are not only carrying out their duties on border but also perform humanitarian role for the border population.
